Butlins Caravan holidays Minehead

BOOKINGS are not available to persons under the age of 25yrs and or to young same sex groups.  A booking, although may be reserved upon receipt of a holiday request, will only be confirmed once the deposit is paid in full and only on the condition you have read, understood and agree to our terms & conditions.  The full cost of the holiday booking plus the returnable deposit is required at least 8 weeks before holiday commencement.

 

DEPOSITS are required in full and work as follows:  A £75 or 20% deposit (which ever is the greater) is required on breaks up to 7 nights and a £100 or 20% deposit will be required for breaks 7 nights plus. All deposits are refundable in full up to 14 days after booking for holiday cancellations and 7 working days after the caravan has been vacated, keys returned and the caravan has been checked for damage, missing items and excessive cleaning.  After the initial 14 days “cooling off period”, 50% of the deposit will be refundable up to 8 weeks before holiday commencement  after which no refund will be available for cancelled holidays. We have not yet had to withhold any deposits as we do understand that wear and tear etc does occur but as this caravan is a family owned one in which we take our own holidays in, we would like it treated with the respect and care that it deserves.  We thank you for your appreciation in this matter.

 

PRICES All prices are based on an occupancy of 6 people sharing, £30 pp should be added for party numbers over 6.  No more than 8 persons at any one time.  Prices are based solely on a self catering basis and do not include soaps, towels bed linen etc but do include pillows, quilts, domestic services ie: gas, electric, water, etc and also include free Butlins passes for fair rides, water world etc and  daytime and evening shows etc. as advertised when booking made however Butlins occasionally vary facilities and entertainment of which we have no control over.

 

SMOKING  We operate a no smoking policy with in our caravans.  Any extra costs involved with the defumigation of the caravan or the clearing of cigarette ends from the vicinity of the caravan will be deemed as excessive cleaning and will attract a charge that will be deducted from any returnable deposit. Please do not leave cigarette ends outside the caravan area.

 

PETS We operate a no pets policy within our caravans.  Any extra costs involved with the defumigation of the caravan or the clearing of pet hair from the caravan will be deemed as excessive cleaning and will attract a charge that will be deducted from any returnable deposit.

 

BUTLINS We have no control over Butlins policies and procedures and would advise any holiday makers to follow the park rules or face being removed from the site they do have a strict no noise or music after 11pm rule, drugs use or general rowdy behaviour and ball games in undesignated areas.

 

ARRIVAL TIMES Early arrival at Butlins is welcomed and Butlins passes should be available for you to use on site but please bear in mind, the caravan is cleaned between every rental and may not be available for your use until 16:00 but is usually available from 2pm.

 

PARKING ARRANGEMENTS – The caravan does have its own designated numbered parking bay for one vehicle only.  If using more than one vehicle there are a few un-numbered bays close by or alternatively parking on the main car park can be used.  Butlins do not allow Vans, Motorbikes or Touring Caravans to park on the caravan site at any time and will not be allowed through Security.  Please contact Butlins Centre for any clarification.  No parking must be made on the grassed areas at any time.

 

KEYS – Caravan keys are collected from Security on the East Gate Entrance by prior arrangement with us.  On day of departure keys must be returned to the same Security Hut.  If you lose your keys or they are not returned when departing, a call out charge for spare keys to be issued will be made and taken from your deposit. 

 

DAMAGE TO CARAVAN Upon receipt of the keys to your caravan, we would advise that you check and advise any damage (wear & tear excluded) that may have been missed to us as soon as possible, this will avoid you being charged for it on your departure.  Accidents do happen and any damage caused during your stay should be reported to us as soon as possible.

If young children are using crayons and or colouring pens please could they be supervised as these marks are completely indelible and we will start making a charge if we find they are continuing to occur. Please also no painting from children in the caravan and no jumping on the sofas or beds especially with shoes. If using nail varnish please use with extreme caution.

If outside shoes are wet or muddy and especially childrens’ shoes, please could these be removed before entering the caravan to keep the carpets and upholstery clean. Also please no football or ball games to be played  inside the caravan. Children must be supervised and not left alone in the caravan to adhere to Butlins Park Rules and no more than 8 persons in the caravan at any time.  

 

BEDDING – duvet and pillows are provided but you must bring your own sheets, duvet covers & pillowcases, towels with you. (these can be hired from Butlins). Mattress & pillow protectors must not be removed.  If children are “not dry at night” please bring appropriate waterproof coverings and if  an accident has occurred please contact us to advise and rectify the situation,  do not leave the bed wet or stained or a charge will be made for this.

 

ACCIDENT & SICKNESS -   Minehead does have a Hospital in the Town Centre.  If you need a Doctor please call the Butlins Centre itself 01643 703331.  If sickness or diarrhoea or any type of spillage or stains have occurred on the sofas, carpets or beds, please contact the Cleaning Contractor – Jamie Anderson on 07721 484843 or 01643 707550 quoting which caravan you are in, or alternatively phone us on 01827 703417, 07971 521778, 07828 935857 to arrange cleaning or advice. If small marks please use carpet cleaner under the sink.

 

If there are any plumbing or electrical problems please either call Robin Saddington (office hours only) who is in charge of the Caravan Park on 07714 836935 or through Butlins 01643 705264 or the Cleaning Contractor Jamie Anderson or ourselves and we or them will arrange for a maintenance person from Butlins Caravan Park to attend. Please leave messages and wait for a call back if not answered immediately.

 

DEPARTURE  On departure, it is requested that you vacate the caravan by 10:00 am removing any rubbish, emptying bins, washing up and putting away any pots pans and cutlery used during your stay, emptying fridge, cleaning cooker and microwave if you have used these. This will greatly aid our cleaning staff in the preparation of the caravan for its next booking as she is not responsible to clear up after you only to hoover and dust and clean the bathroom.

 

HOLIDAY INSURANCE We do not provide any holiday insurance for guests whilst on holiday and would advise that any insurance requirements be made before arriving on site.

 

CANCELLATIONS   We reserve the right to cancel a holiday reservation at any time if we feel our terms and conditions have not been met, by which any monies paid will be forfeited or in extreme circumstances beyond our control by which a full refund of any monies paid to us relating to the holiday will be refunded in full .
